to be successful leaders from a very tender age and encourage
them to play golf and take inspiration and motivation from it.

Women Leadership & Golf Development

The Women & Golf Leadership Development Program is aimed
at grooming women to be successful leaders and thrive at being
significant in business, communities and the society at large.

Our Objectives

To promote and enhance golf amongst women and the youth.
Develop and empower women and the youth to be prominent community and business leaders.
Develop and empower women and the youth to be active citizens.
Encourage women and youth to participate in sport.
Increase the number of women golfers.

Meet The Team

Theresa Moila is a Senior Manager: Education & Sport at Transnet SOC LTD. She holds a Masters Degree from De Mont Fort University, Leicester. Theresa is an advocate of children, youth and women’s rights and issues. Her passion for grooming future leaders is overwhelming. She has a great record and experience in multiple boards as a valuable board member. She is the Chairperson of the Eastern Cape Education Development Trust and the Limpopo Education Development Trust. She is a Literacy Ambassador for the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and has been nominated one of Top 100 Difference Makers in SA.

Malethola Matube is an avid golfer who started playing golf in 2004, a sportswoman who believes in health and wellness. A specialist in sales and marketing with 20 years experience in ICT. She is driven by development and empowerment of women and young girls. She believes that if women are successful leaders who collaborate very well all the socioeconomic challenges will have a greater opportunity of being resolved. Her passion lies in entrepreneurship, grooming young girls and creating growth opportunities for others. Her vision is to use golf to develop young girls, create opportunities for women to prosper in all spheres of their lives; increase the number of women who play golf and groom successful entrepreneurs.

Nomsa Miya Poole, 29 year old, born and raised in Katlehong, Eastrand. Nomsa completed her BSc (Hons) Degree Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2010, soon after qualifying as an Independent Practitioner, she then went on to pursue her dream of flying training in order to realize her childhood dream of becoming a Commercial Pilot. Nomsa qualified for her Frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape in 2012 on the SA Express Cadet Program. She is currently employed by the South African Express Airways (SAE) as a First Officer on the Dash 8 Q400 fleet and as the company’s Safety Specialist. She is also involved in the Airlines Safety Management System(SMS) awareness program as a facilitator for flight deck crew. Since from a young age, Nomsa has always demonstrated amazing leadership abilities by inspiring her peers and young people within her community to dream big and follow their God given talent. Apart from flying, Nomsa is passionate about youth development and enjoys interacting with young people, inspiring them to follow their dreams.

Relebohile Mphasane is a General Manager at MFS, a financial services organisation. She is an ambassador of youth excellence and very passionate about education as a driver of achieving women emancipation and economic transformation.

Morwesi Laura Dlepu studied Bcom (Law) and LLB (Law) at the University of Pretoria. She has been a golfer in training since the age of 8, with her father playing golf for over 40 years. Morwesi is passionate about empowering girls to overcome the challenges they face in their early years so that they can grow into strong, forward-thinking and independent young women. Also a sufferer of mental illness, she strives to educate people about the stigma and challenges facing those who suffer from mental illness and encouraging people to learn more about mental illness and support the community.

Lerato Maqena is a Mental skills trainer at Qena Sports Science Academy. She acquired a National Diploma in Sports Sciences from North West University 2014, and during her academic period she was an Inter Residence Sports Administrator, Head of Spiritual Dance Department (Student Christian Fellowship), Supplementary Facilitator and Peer Academic Mentor. She’s a candidate at Trifocus Fitness Academy. Ms Maqena was employed as a Sports Coordinator at Kitso Primary School 2015.She was appointed as a Sports Administrator at Kgokgi Sports Foundation 2015 and Emfuleni Local Football Association 2016. She instigated a program for matriculants helping them with goal setting and concentration during their exams. She conducted sessions for the Transnet School of Excellence and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team. She’s currently an assistant coach at Orange Farm. Ms Maqena is the Founder of Qena Sports Science Academy, a company which mainly focuses on mental skills training in sport. The company’s vision for sport led her to forming a part of Progressive Women in Golf, a non-profit organisation.
